How to use a Hydrometer:
Testing can only be done with clear, liquid
H2O2. Simply pour 2 or more ounces of H2O2 into the graduated
tube. The hydrometer is graduated in volumes. Enough liquid should
be used that the weighted hydrometer is able to float freely.
Note the volume indicated on the hydrometer tube.
Sometimes there is a
need to adjust the volume of H2O2. To increase the volume, add
a higher volume solution to the liquid in the tube until the hydrometer
reads the desired volume. To decrease the strength, add distilled
water - along with the volume of H2O2 you are using - to the tube
until the hydrometer reads the correct volume. It's that simple!
